In this episode of Redefining Motherhood, I talk about the importance of consistency in achieving our goals. Whether it's improving our fitness, growing our businesses, advancing our careers, or developing new skills, I stress the significance of putting in consistent effort every day. Slow and steady progress, I believe, is the key to success.
I also touch upon the impact of comparison on our motivation and progress. It's essential, I argue, to engage in healthy comparison and to give ourselves permission to change. Furthermore, I emphasize the role of daily habits in leading to long-term success, drawing examples from various areas such as weight loss.
Reflecting on my own journey, I share the unnoticed efforts behind my podcast's success, including overcoming postpartum depression and reevaluating my career path. Through it all, I emphasize the importance of dedication and consistency in achieving success, encouraging listeners to stay in the game and put in the daily work required to create lasting change, while also acknowledging the need for rest and relaxation along the way.

On this episode of Redefining Motherhood, I’m sharing with you the 5 things I learned from participating in my first call of the CEO Mama Mastermind group. I hesitated to join this Mastermind and honestly didn’t know If it was the right room for me to be in.
I candidly share how imposter syndrome got the best of me and how being part of the first call made me realize how many of us let imposter syndrome get the best of us and how many of us need community and sisterhood to not feel alone on our journeys.
These are a few things I learned on that 1st call of the Mastermind that I hope will resonate with you:
1. We all have more in common than we think. Ambitious mothers face similar struggles with imposter syndrome and balancing career and family.
2. We are all seeking community and sisterhood with other women who understand our challenges.
3. Almost every ambitious mother goes through an identity crisis after having kids as they learn to balance career and motherhood.
4. Motherhood has permitted us to lean into our strengths and figure out who we are.
5. Beauty and fulfillment can be found on the other side of chaos. Our low points don't have to define us - with work, we can rise to the top stronger.
The episode encourages you to find community, embrace your strengths, and have faith that better times are ahead even in the midst of challenges.

In this episode, I'm excited to share my journey into embracing sobriety 8 months ago. This decision was driven by a desire for better health for myself. Throughout the conversation, I shared my experience of removing alcohol from my life and highlighting the positive impacts on my overall well-being, such as improved sleep and mental clarity.
I dive into the detrimental effects of alcohol on the body, including liver damage, cardiovascular problems, and an increased risk of cancer, urging you to be mindful of your alcohol consumption. I discuss the remarkable changes I've observed since cutting out alcohol, from enhanced mental clarity and emotional stability to weight loss and increased energy levels. Emphasizing the benefits of quitting alcohol, not just for physical health but also for improved relationships and financial well-being.
Together, we'll explore my journey toward sobriety, detailing how it has brought about personal growth, self-discovery, and a positive shift in my career and relationships. While I occasionally give myself permission to have a drink in social situations, I discuss the abundance of non-alcoholic alternatives and encourage you to discover these options for yourselves.
Throughout the conversation, I provide support and resources for those curious about sobriety, underlining the importance of making choices that prioritize self-care.

Hello, it's Amanda, and today on "Redefining Motherhood," we're talking about the realities of returning to work after maternity leave. I share the challenges of leaving my little one while managing work responsibilities, giving a shoutout to all the mothers out there juggling work and motherhood.
Reflecting on my own experience, I realized the standard 8 weeks of maternity leave weren't enough. Many moms feel the same, except for a few eager to return to work sooner.
I openly admit that It would have helped me if I took more time off after having my baby, especially navigating postpartum depression. I also discuss managing mom guilt, emphasizing the importance of self-care post-childbirth. I offer practical tips for re-entering the workforce, like advocating for flexibility and not expecting to be a superhero on day one.
I wrap up the episode by highlighting the importance of communication and task-sharing in motherhood. I encourage you to share this episode with any moms who may need to hear this!
