In this episode of Redefining Motherhood, I share the benefits I've experienced from maintaining a student mindset in my new job. I set an intention to approach my second week with curiosity and an openness to learn from others. I've found that asking questions has helped me gain a deeper understanding of our processes and allowed my coworkers to see my dedication to growth. Embracing this learner's attitude has also fostered my own personal and professional development. By challenging myself outside my comfort zone, I am building new skills and adapting to changes more effectively. Overall, maintaining a lifelong mindset of learning has enriched my work experience and empowered me to continuously improve.
I encourage listeners to reflect on where their own egos may be holding them back from opportunities to gain knowledge and new perspectives. There is always more to learn, and we should embrace challenges to better understand different viewpoints. My hope is that sharing my experiences this week inspires you to adopt a student mindset to enhance your personal fulfillment and success in all areas of your lives.

In this episode of Redefining Motherhood, I sit down with Danny-J, an award-winning entrepreneur, keynote speaker, and podcast host. She shares with us her inspiring journey and how despite facing tremendous challenges with mental health, trauma, and more, she has been able to emerge with strength.
Danny candidly shares her personal battles with depression from a young age, including hospitalization. She believes genetics, environment, and trauma all influence mental illness.
We explore how cognitive distortions can fuel depression and Danny's path to changing negative thought patterns. Alternative modalities helped when traditional medication fell short. Through therapy and holistic treatments, she has been able to manage her symptoms.
Her story of placing her daughter for adoption as a teen and rebuilding their relationship is moving. By openly sharing her vulnerabilities, Danny aims to reduce the stigma around mental health.

In this episode of Redefining Motherhood, I talk about how preparation creates confidence. As I stepped into a new role in my career this week, I discuss how taking the time to prepare myself has made all the difference in feeling confident as I start this new chapter.
Whether it's a career change, becoming a parent, or taking on a new hobby, doing your research and truly understanding what to expect is key. It allows you to show up with knowledge and vision for your goals.
I also reflect on lessons learned from my early motherhood days. While resources were available, I didn't utilize them fully and felt lost postpartum. Now, I make preparation a priority so I can help guide others. Tune in to hear more about applying this to your own life, and feel free to reach out if you need tips for building confidence to step into your next big transition.

Hello, and welcome back to another episode of Redefining Motherhood. We're doing something a little different today, as I welcome another father to our community, Scott Aaron. He is an internationally acclaimed and award-winning online marketer. He's a best-selling author and a top podcaster. He is also a speaker, who is your go-to specialist when it comes to converting traffic, establishing connections, generating leads, and building a personal brand, using none other than LinkedIn, my favorite networking platform.
Scott shared how becoming a father early in his career motivated him to find more work-life balance. Working 80 hours a week as a personal trainer, he felt overwhelmed and wanted to be more present for his son. After his marriage ended, Scott became a single father which pushed him to prioritize time with his child. He also met his wife Nancy, who helped him embrace his inner child and has helped him become a better and more present parent. Now, Scott and Nancy run their business together working just 3 days a week so they can spend quality time with family.
Scott encourages us all that it is possible to craft the life you want, whether you have your own business or work a corporate job. The key is committing to change and implementing strategies like rearranging your schedule or dedicating certain days to different tasks. With creativity and commitment, we can all find more balance and presence in both our careers and families.

In this episode of Redefining Motherhood, I share tips to stay motivated with your goals. Maintaining motivation as life gets busy can be tough. Making a firm commitment to your goal is key. When I quit drinking, I told myself it wasn't optional. Sharing your goals with others helps hold you accountable - everyone knew about my plan to take a break from alcohol.
Evaluating habits is also important. Are any routines sabotaging your success? I realized I needed to change my workout schedule to see real results when losing weight. Don't be afraid to ask for support either - I hired a coach for extra accountability.
Lastly, consistently take steps daily towards your goals, even on unmotivated days. Real change happens over time through daily discipline. I hope these tips inspire you to keep chasing your dreams - you've totally got this! Listen to learn more about staying driven long-term.

Welcome back to another episode of Redefining Motherhood! Today is such a special treat for me because I get to bring on a dear friend of mine, Tiffaney D. Hunter. Tiffaney is an award-winning global communications and community visionary leader, speaker, author, and philanthropist with over two decades of experience crafting innovative strategies for Fortune 500 companies as well as private companies. She is also the Founder and CEO of Tiffaney Dale Agency.
Tiffaney shares with us how she has been able to overcome an immense loss in her life. At just 36 years old, Tiffaney suffered the devastating loss of her mother to breast cancer. As the oldest of four siblings, she felt compelled to stay strong for her family in their time of grief. During this time, Tiffaney had to move forward and rediscover her identity and purpose without the woman who was her biggest role model.
Through it all, Tiffaney's deep faith has sustained her and she finds comfort in knowing her mother is at peace. Tiffaney honors her legacy by empowering others, just as her mother did. She hopes to keep her memory alive by living a life of service and impact.
Tiffaney’s message of resilience, especially during difficult seasons, is truly inspiring. I hope you'll tune in to hear her journey with loss, faith, and personal growth. Her story truly is one of strength and courage.

In this episode of Redefining Motherhood, join me as I talk about being true to yourself. I start off by saying how I'm changing things up with shorter episodes and rethinking what it means to be a mom.
I share my thoughts on how social media can make us feel like we have to start our own businesses, but I say it's okay if that's not for you. I also share my story about finding meaning and identity after becoming a mom. I've grown so much personally and found happiness by being myself and I encourage you all to do the same. Being authentic and true to who you are is really important, even if it's scary sometimes. And we have to face the fact that there will always be someone who just doesn’t understand our journey, and that’s ok.
I finish off the episode by asking everyone to embrace their uniqueness and live life in a way that feels right for them, not worrying about what others think. Remember, it's all about being real and staying true to yourself, no matter what.
